Quest: The Grimtotem Weapon - Thottbot: World of Warcraft

This quest is currently bugged and will give you credit for killing 2 mobs when you just kill one. It could be useful for leveling.

if you think about it, it's not good for leveling, seeing as how you're killing less mobs, thus getting less xp.

That's absolutely true, but you're also getting the quest done twice as fast. I admit it's only one quest and its not hard to complete without the bug, but there could be other similar quests that are worth more xp and have the same bug.

that quest is always bugged.... last i checked, half my kills didnt give me credit....

I am sorry to inform you but..
I don't believe that this a bug..
I have recently done this quest on an alt...
After placing the totem, it sends out two arches of the lightningy stuff.
After a few seconds one arch disappears and if killed in this state you receive 1 credit for the quest.
But if you wait for both ligntningy arches are hitting the target and kill the mob, you will receive 2 credits toward the quest..

Ocassionally you may kill the mob as the debuff is refreshing its self.. If said circumstance occurs then no quest credit will be awarded...

If you look at the debuffs on the mod you will notice that a counter will change on the debuff placed by the totem.. To do this quest as quickly as possible.. It would make the most sense to kill the mob when the 2 is showing on the debuff..
