I've been lurking around on these forums for almost 2 years now without contributing anything, so I thought it was about time to do something about it.
Yeah really, my profile says I joined 11-23-2006
But hey, atleast I donated to the site so don't call me a leecher.
This is something I have known about almost ever since blizzard nerfed walljumping.
I have kept it secret until now so I could enjoy it for as long as possible.
Everyone knows that posting stuff here is like asking it to get nerfed.
However I'm growing tired of WoW and exploration in particular, so I don't care anymore.
Walljumping still works pretty well with any sort of speed increase.
Yes, you heard me.
Mount, Ghost Wolf, Travel Form, Cat Form (if feral), Aspect of the Cheetah, Aspect of the Pack and even a minor speed increase enchant will help.
The more speed you got, the better it seems to work.
When using a mount it works almost every time for me.
How do you walljump with a mount you might ask?
Have you ever tried to dismount while going forward?
For a second after you dismount you still run at 100% speed.
This depends on your latency.
Higher latency means you will run fast for longer after dismounting.
So how can we take advantage of this?
When standing on a wall, you mount up, then dismount and quickly jump right after while still having the 100% speed increase.
So basicly you have to mount up for every jump, but it works almost every time.
Please note that this does not work like it used to before the nerf, but it gives you a much higher chance of success.
Me and my hunter friend have been walljumping up lots of places that requires like 10 jumps in a row using his Aspect of the Pack buff.
So log on your druid, hunter, shaman or any character that has a mount and you should be able to jump up places that requires around 5-10 jumps.
Before you scream "repost" and link me the thread with the shaman that walljumps in ghost wolf, please consider that this thread is way more informative and contains other methods such as the dismounting trick.
