Garrote without breaking Sap

Not sure if this applies to all mobs/players but at Legion Hold but the mobs Shadow Council Warlock do not break sap when you garrote them, also works with any other rogue DoT but after the DoT finishes it breaks sap.

You can see the mob still sapped with garrote ticking.

Hopefully you'll be able to "get it" now.

I already knew this, but when i garrote while sap is on, garrote will break sap as soon as it does some damage

The exlpoit part though is that garrote doesn't break sap untill its done all its damage which lasts for 18 seconds.

This isn't an exploit... Sap breaks when damage is applied, garrote takes 3 seconds for the first tick so that's why it is breaking the sap. Your not auto attacking it which is why im guessing you thought was an exploit.

Edit: Now actually reading your post all the way through, it looks as though your mob is bugged, as it clearly shows it being attacked and not breaking out of sap.

They don't act out any differently from normal and it's only today that i noticed it wasn't breaking. I've been doing the same thing for months and it always broke.

If I must elaborate...

The reason this is working as intended is because Sap is not supposed to break from an action being taken while a mob is sapped. Sap breaks on damage just like any other incapacitate effect (Gouge, Repentance). The only way I see this as an exploit is if you are DAMAGING the target WHILE IT IS SAPPED, not taking damage then the sap breaking AS INTENDED.

The reason I'm guessing it broke before is because of AUTO ATTACK, in this case you are either turning away from the mob or using some other means to NOT ATTACK IT so it STAYS SAPPED and IS NOT TAKING DAMAGE. Then when it TAKES DAMAGE from Garrote (and deadly poison in the case of your screenshot) the sap breaks. AS INTENDED.

I admit this is very useful in PvP, I use it all the time against Warriors then pillar hump them and restealth.

If this is true a screenshot of this happening would be great, instead of a screenshot of a mob at 100% health with dots that haven't ticked once on it.

How come when you are hitting him he doesn't lose any hp? You see clearly that you hit 400, but his HP isn't dropping. As for that screenshot it just shows you that you got high latency and that the result is that your hits are taking longer to react since his HP won't even drop down when you hit him...

I would say that this is just fail unless you provide a screen WITH that the mob is sapped + HP is down + garrote on it. You only showed a mob that got sap and garrote on but at 100% , that is just utterly working as intended since sap breaks when damage is dealt, not when a dot is applied. Unless you think that is a exploit...

From what I can tell you just got high latency and thought you find a "exploit" that can be abused....gg

I used MES to turn my weapons into ragnaros (because it looks cool) and also it has him at 100% with him being hit because i took the screenshot as as soon as i garroted. It works for me and i thought i'd post it, if you want me to go get a better pic i will.

Imageshack is being a bitch and it took me half an hour to get that one working.
