[Exploit] Premade Pally PvP - Stacking Retribuion Buffs

Technically you don't need to be in a premade to do this, but it makes it alot easier. After some experimenting in the game I believe I've figured out why I sometimes have 2-3 ret auras on in PVP at times, but never in PvE (or at the end of the match for that matter). You gotta enter the battleground WITH Ret aura already active. IF you die and turn it back on the benefits go away.

The most ret auras I've managed to get so far with this is 4. I've yet to make an all pally premade to see if we could get like... 20 for WSG or 40 in AV (That's a bloody scary thought... they hit you and take 4k damage from the staked auras), but I HAVE joined with others who have had it on and found that once in the game we had plenty of rets.

Lol that is amazing, but you would gain the buff from people in other raid groups?

Yes, that is where the stacked auras come from - other people. Pally auras now effect entire raid groups.

Ret appears to be the only aura this works for though. I've not seen any multiple devotions, concentrations, etc.

There would've been a simple solution to creating two new topics. Creating one and naming it "paladin buff stacking"...

But less rep, and to some it is all about the rep.

    Most probably.

I didn't post it as one because in my mind casting a buff spell like Wisdom on individual (or a group of) targets is very different to me than showing up in a battleground with an aura on that instantly is applied to everyone in range.

Likewise, based on what I've been able to observe to date, the wisdom buffs have to be 30 min and 10 min to work.

As such, it seems like the root of the "problem" is not one in the same for both of these, and thus they are two separate exploits as opposed to multiple applications of the same one.

Sure, knowing of a given exploit is grand, but by dividing up threads based on the source of the problem (known or unknown so long as it is believed that they are different) we can find new applications for what we already know to be true based on experimentation. By combining them into one, we run into the problem of assuming what will work for one will work for the other and when a person goes to test it they might count out a perfectly "legitamate" and useful application of an observed exploit because they tested it with the wrong criteria because someone combined two posts of very outwardly similiar but technically different exploits.

It's the same thing. They are both BG related stackable buffing "exploits". And you're really long detailed paragraphs are not necessary. It's the internet not english class.

Nice one. I did notice I had 2 ret buffs at one stage. It's definately a good idea to enter BG's now with Ret aura on! Thanks again
