I've actually done this once on a PTR. I was a shaman that wouldn't die but it looked as if you were always alive with 1 health left...

Sounds like a reincarnation of the old bug with instantly resurrecting when you release spirit--before you get ported back to the graveyard. Blizzard's old fix was to make it send you to the graveyard even if you do manage to come back to life, and there's probably some weird special case here since you're in a battleground with spirit healers/lootable corpses.

It definitely sounds like an addon to auto-release and auto-rez along with lucky server lag are the keys to this.

this happened to me w/ my wl @ wsg, couldn't attack and the others coudln't attack me too... but they saw my ghost rofls.

this happened to me on live server
the server lagged like hell, i released spirit and then i could click accept to ress myself...i did and i got tp'ed back to the GY - as a "half alive" ghost, or something... the spirit ress guy despawned... or atleast i couldn't see him

This has happened to me numerous times-- usually do to a laggy BG server

the problem is-- though sometimes it may appear that you are doing damage/healing/killing etc or even capping-- it doesnt count towards the win-- the server will eventually come back to normal and you will be back to where you started-- however if u win while doing this is could be beneficial

the problem is that the only way to recreate this is to lag the hell out of the server-- and even then its not by any means a guarentee-- sometimes everyone will just get DC or it will just lag-- and not glitch

not reliable enough of a bug to be called exploit-- I have done a lot of research on this particular bug and its not recreatable in a since that you can do it on command
