Save Time on "Survey Alcaz Island"

There is a quest in theramore called "Survey Alcaz Island" where you have to go talk to the gyphon lady and take a long ride around the island. I discovered that if you mount right as you accept the ride the quest will complete, but you won't leave the ground so you can just go hand it in. This saves you about 3min or so of useless flying.

I am a pally using my summoned horse, so this may not work with other mounts im not sure. Anyway I hope this helps, sorry if its a repost.
