It's been a while since i've posted anything. i just got my video card back from nvidia so i wanted to show you guys something really cool i stumbled onto. i've been working on some themes and custom icons for windows when i stumbled across a small company called dreamscene. dreamscene.org - Home.
They have a great program that allows you to convert video files to desktop backgrounds. I then found a really neat dark portal animated wallpaper and figured i'd share it with you all.
Theres some things your going to need first though
.net framework 2.0 you can google it it's the first link
and xpscene from dreamscene.org - Home under the tools section
1.) make a folder on the desktop called xpscene maker.
2.)open that folder and make two more folders name one converted videos and the other uncoverted videos
3.) download .net framework 2.0 and install http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0856eacb-4362-4b0d- 8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en or google it
4.) download xpscene dreamscene.org - Tools/Software or google it save it to your new folder on the desktop
5.) download the dark portal animated background dreamscene.org - Gallery/Download 5th one down or just go to dreamscene.org - Home and find it in the gallery page 2 make sure to save it to uncoverted videos folder on your desktop
6.) in your folder you made on your desktop. open the zip file you just downloaded and find the video file inside.
7.) cut and paste that vidoe file to the unconverted videos folder
8.) open/run xpscene
9.)in xp scene; on the top right corner there is an icon with a picture of film it says step one next to it. Click that
10.) find the video file in Unconverted videos and open it
11.) Click stretch video to fit screen
12.) on the middle right there is a picture of a folder click it. this is step 2 in the xp scene program it's called output. Now select the output folder to be "converted videos" and click ok/apply/open whichever you have.
13.) in the xpscene program label step 3; there is a picture of two green arrows. click that and your file will begin to convert. It will say done when it's finished. Ususally takes 1-4 seconds i was suprised.
Ok now your done with xpscene.
14) go to controll panel and click the display icon. Its a picture of a computer screen.
15.) On the top of the new window that popped when you clicked display. There is a tab called desktop. Click that
16. Now click browse and find the video file you converted on your desktop. it should be in folder "desktop/xpscenemaker/converted videos" and click it
17.) click apply and your done.
