My god. Stupid.
My god. Stupid.
Attention:
This is a bug that somtimes occurs when casting. Nobody has been able to reliably figure out what exactly causes it (until now?), but it does happen sometimes that after an instant cast spell is cast there is no GCD on the next spell to be cast.
Comprend? (French for understand).
EDIT: If this way works 100% of the time than it is a huge find and everyone should be repping him. Unfortunatly I do not have a lock thus I cannot confirm or deny this. If someone with a lock could confirm that this reliably happens 90-100% of the time than this is a great post and can be tested out with more spells and instants with the same cast time (or even different cast times), you'd be epic for finding out how to do it with any toon.
My only 70s are a Rogue and 2 Warriors so I can't really test this as my account is down anyways lol.
WTB TESTER PST

think its GCD m8-_-
lol, everyone who posted in this topic explaining basic WoW mechanics can't even read XD
But seriously, sad.
I'll + rep you for this one homez because I've seen a video of it in action before, but I haven't seen a post explaining it.
Also, I found the post talking about taking sides hilarious. He is talking about taking sides in a factual argument in which one side is obviously right = LOL. It's like two people arguing about what 2 + 2 equals, and you say, "I'm not saying either one of you is right, but the mathematician (who claims 2+2=4) is not neccesarily right."
wow I indeed have a headache now after reading these posts.
Hah, some thread still give me a giggle.
The world calls.. and I answer.
Am I the only one who understood what the OP was talking about by only reading the first post? Please be more careful before you start flaming someone, or it just makes you look like a nub. Can someone please confirm if this works? If so, it would be worth spec'ing out of improved corruption.
im pretty sure the reason OP got so much rep is due to posts like this... great to see these replies "i dont have a lock cant test but nice tip and here's plus rep!"
- from the original post there is no freaking way to tell what he's talking about. no it's not obvious he means no GCD for the NEXT spell after CoA. of course it got flamed.
- more importantly: NO FREAKING PROOF. "maybe works for other instants" - what you cant test? when i see a video of CoA being cast but no 1.5 sec GCD animation on action bars and a log with timestamps showing a 3rd spell getting cast simultenously, we can talk. till then FAIL.
My god. Reading all the reply's from morons who failed to understand the first post was painful...
Nice info, il try it out on my lock when I have the money to unspec. Cause my lock has improved corruption atm. Will report back.
people like you are painful
"Cast Corruption (you can't be speced for instant cast sorry)
While its casting cast CoA and when Corruption is done CoA is cast with no global cooldown"
so if someone doesnt read that as "3rd spell can be cast w/o a GCD from CoA", he is a moron? thats the only and the obvious way to read that? dream on.
BTW "While its casting cast CoA" is BS - when you try to cast something while something else is being cast it gives an error "another action is in progress". cant queue up spells. if OP has some deep secret to share he needs to actually explain clearly wth he's talking about, so people can replicate and test. otherwise enjoy the flames.
Uhg... Im painful? Its people like you that automatically assume he's a total moron and has no idea how the GCD normally works for spell instead of thinking that maybe he found something interesting.
Have you tried it? Have you gone and checked if casting corruption without it being talented is somehow bugged now? No? Then shut the **** up.
Il try it and report back later today.
WAI afaik... it still looks this way, but the gcd after the corr cast is the coa gcd.
Ok, I just unspec'ed my lock and tried this.
After some testing this is what I came up with...
On my screen it does appear than you can cast Coa while casting Corruption.
As soon as the first GCD is over for the initial corruption cast you can cast Coa and start its GCD (before the corruption is done casting).
So it LOOKS like on my screen that I am starting the Coa GCD .5 seconds before corruption is finished. Meaning I only have to wait half as long before my next cast.
BUT, I believe this may be associated with the new GCD system and the way it accounts for server lag. I only have a .1 latency though supposedly. So I can't explain why it would let me start the GCD for Coa so early.
Screenshot: As you can see by the red text it looks like (on my client) that all three were applied within the same second without having to wait for another GCD. But if you look at the white timestamp text from the server, it says I started casting them well within GCD limits.
Conclusion: New GCD system accounting for server/client lag. Easily mistaken for not having to wait for a GCD for someone who has more latency than me.
I have very little latency like 40-200 and I get the same thing so It may just be for people with bad latency might not get this?
