I'm a priest and I've seen a couple people do different things in PvP if they have no way to avoid it they press the walk key before getting Mindcontrolled.. THAT makes life difficult leme tell ya...

Did not work for me at heroic mech. My char sitted once and then he owned our PvE geared healer.

No, it works on every server, just not from priest's mindcontrols, it's NPC's mind controls specificly.

Another good way to keep your healer from getting owned is to use an ice trap. As long as you have a hunter have him keep an ice trap up under the healer, then when he gets MC'd he wont waste cool downs, also prevents others from attacking (and owning) the healer in SL when the whole group is MC'd
