because finding a grp of 2-3 people to summon you out with no notice, and ending up in some random location, is so much easier than logging out to an alt for 300 sec.

I'm with you. Seems like more of a waste of time then it's really worth to me. A lot easier to just get a buddy to que you for a 2v2 skirmish. You can always leave those with no deserter debuff and they seem to pop within a minute or so now.

I know for a fact this doesn't work and I'll tell you why. I was in a battleground the other day and got invited to a kara group as a replacement. They summoned me INSIDE the instance, but the other guy who i was replacing had not left yet so the instance was full and the summon didnt work but i still got deserter. I was actually INSIDE AB with a deserter buff.

This works well for when you are in an AV turtle and want the get the **** out of there to join another one.
