Farm Large Prismatics (1 Per 3 Minutes)

This idea sparked of this previous thread except for one small detail which I discovered 5 minutes ago.

It turns out you can actually disenchant the hat (Don Carlos' Famous Hat - Item - World of Warcraft), which makes this an IDEAL area to farm Large Prismatics. As a warlock, I can solo this fight, but the fight is also doable as any other caster/hunter with a healer. He only hits hard in melee range, and his ranged attacks are an utter joke.

Although the instance reset does become an issue, this is an excellent way to grab some extra gold or some enchanting mats.

If you kill *only* him, you can zone out, set it to normal, set it back, and go again.

While this may be fixed in the future, as of patch day, it is true that you can reset it on heroic to kill him again.

with limited he is refering to only 5 instances / hour

Sadly, this no longer works.

It worked well into the day, but has since been stealth hotfixed.

I farmed several of them early in the day, but hours later when I returned to try again, an instance reset would not reset Old Hillsbrad like other instances.

I tried a different instance, Black Morass, which would reset fine, but Old Hillsbrad does not.

We did this yesturday as well 3 in kill both don and his dog. all out then change to normal rest then back to heroic rest worked fine. only bad thing was the othere 2 had raid lol they missed as we had entered too many times so watch out for that part of it. so with that max is 5 then your stook

This is not true. I was able to reset the instance by leaving, setting to normal, resetting all instances, setting to heroic and zoning in. It worked just fine a few minutes ago.

Also, you can only do this 5 times in an hour. We got the too many instances entered recently message.
