I tried it with the WPL ghouls recently and it didn't work. I think the least we can assume is /fixed.

I did this pretty recently about 3 weeks ago. I'm unsure if this new patched has fixed this.

Edit: It's patched =( I just tried this in shat. I still see damage being done to other players but none of it really happens. Damn I wish I made more videos.

My apologies for necromancy. This is a working trick.

Luckily, Emeriss is spawned in Ashenvale on my server. No one ever bothers going there, not to mention killing him. It takes about 3 minutes of riding on an epic mount to get to his spawn spot from Orgrimmar. I've done this about 5-6 times now and the results are anywhere between "You are SO banned, *******!" and "This is hilarious, do it more!".

Here's how I did it.

1. Preparation: The pet you're going to use (or all 3 pets, as I did) MUST have either Dash 3 or Dive 3. This is a necessity, otherwise Emeriss will just 2-shot your pet. He also runs at approximately 160% speed, so forget about cheetah kiting there. It's also recommended to try this with a healer waiting for you in Orgrimmar (More about this later). Have plenty of pet food when you're done fooling around, the pet's happiness is going to do gown faster than someone's mom on prom night.
2. Positioning: The best place with minimal trash and enough range to Emeriss is the little hill right in front of the slope leading to him. Anyone who's ever done the emeralds knows what I'm talking about; the same hill is just far away so you can pull Emeriss, get the debuff to land and run away before your EotB expires.
3. The pull:

• Since there's a 62 elite dragon in the straight way to Emeriss, you're going to use a different techique than happily waltzing to him and running away.
• First, EotB your pet.
• Run him on the rightmost part of the slope heading up. There's a ledge that goes on with the slope. This ledge goes all the way to Emeriss. Keep on this ledge at all times and you should avoid the miniboss' aggro range. When the slope is almost over, pop dive.
• You're going to pet attack (or lightning breath, wind serpents only) Emeriss and fly down as fast as the Dive/Dash can do. Once you've passed the mini-boss on your way down, jump to the right. You should get ample distance between Emeriss and your pet to get the debuff to land. I recommend selecting your pet after Emeriss is pulled to see the debuff frame better.
• The second it's landed, rightclick off EotB and Feign Death. Emeriss should reset and your pet has the debuff to land.
• Go to your favorite party town with as many lowbies as possible in one place. Summon the pet and set him to Stay. Walk away 5 yards. In 2 seconds the bomb lands and everyone takes 1.2k nature damage. /rofl. Dismiss pet (Or get healed).
• Repeat as necessary.

Remarks:

• This trick can be considered harassment and therefore a bannable offence. However it's not game-breaking abuse of mechanics or an exploit as bad as the US-Mannoroth gold dupe plague. Use at your own risk.
• For maximum continuity I suggest doing the pull 3 times, for each pet in your stable. Then do the fun part for 6 whole minutes.
• The debuff is (and originally should've been) dispelled. Thus, any dispeller with half a brain will remove the debuff. Take care.
• The best way to pull this trick is to have a healer in Orgrimmar to gather lowbies all around him. Then he's going to heal through the DoT effect of the debuff on your pet to keep him up. I had a friend to pull the "I'm giving away gold near the AH!" trick roughly 2 minutes before I came to Orgrimmar. There were 30 people on him, all levels 5-35. Guess what happened to them.
• When your pet is the bomb, apart from getting healed, you can dismiss and resummon it every time. This gets his HP to 100% and it can take several hits as well. If he's getting healed you can AND SHOULD EotB him around the main square, AH, bank, etc, to kill as many lowbies as possible.

The reason to this effect is probably Shattrath's classification as a "Sanctuary" instead of a regular zone. Same with the Dark Portal, the damage dealing scheme is definitely different.

TO reiterate: I just did it in Orgrimmar numerous times. This IS working.
