Yeah, That sounds like it might work. Only real problem I see is that It'll say in you cast bar that they see as crafting a bandage.

In theory this would work,
But wouldn't you be able to see the Casting bar if someone was targeting you,
and the combat log would just totally give you away.

If someone says they need something people, though suspicious, will generally assume they do. When then, seeing a person perform the appropriate action to confirm their belief that the loot was legitimate, the fact that no castbar is present won't even cross peoples minds in 99% of the cases.

the human mind sees what it expects to see. any minor defects are irellevant and will go unnoticed in most cases. Illusionists have been taking advantage of this for decades.

You're might be better off just standing still for a few moments and then use it.
