    [Useless but very funny] Edit EULA

    OK. Didn't know where to put this exactly...

    This is a fun way to mess with your friends! All you need is a few minutes alone with their computer to edit the EULA they get. Go to the following path;

    Computer > Vista (C: ) > Program Files > World of Warcraft > Data > enGB/US

    Ok. In this area is a folder called "eula". Open it with notepad and edit away! This SHOULD show it up again next time your mate opens WoW, if not do the following;

    Go back to your main WoW directory and open their WTF folder. In that folder is a file called "Config". Open it up. Scroll sideways until you see something called;

    readEULA "1"SET

    (It should be on the top line)

    Change that to a zero, save it, then change it back to a 1 and it should show up next time they run WoW.

    Great fun to mess with your mates

    Makes it so you have to re-agree to the EULA. Just as you would on a fresh install or after a patch.

    its because you need atleast 10 characters in your post to post it so if you have too little then you type (filler) or something like that I.E. "REPOST! (filler)"
    hope that helped

    if your asking why ppl say "filler" after sumthing its because there is a min word limit. ten i think.
    so if you only have like 3 letters like "lol" ppl say filler to "fill" up the other spots

    This would be cool if you replaced EULA with one simple sentence... something like:

    Dear User we have a new rule:
    #1. Seeing that Warlocks were too overpowered, it is now against the rules to play with Warlock class. Anyone who logs in with warlock WILL get an instant ban for breaking EULA terms of use.
    -Thank you for reading
    Blizzard

    in case your friend has a warlock main ... i think I'm actually gonna do this to my irl warlock friend hehehe.
    +rep m8 ^^

    This could be used for private servers.

    I wouldn't call it useless.

    So, if you edit the Eula before you aggree to it, then you are not breaking it to begin with by modifying the game. Since the Eula is then edited you do not necessarily have to agree with what it says.

    Then if Blizzard claims you modified the EULA you can just claim that you found out your friend did it as a practical joke. And since you did not agree to the real EULA they can not bann you etc. since you did NOT agree to the restrictions they set.

    How when you actually have to be on their PC? Useless for private servers unless your an extremely dedicated host who travels to people's houses in ninja form and changes their EULA. =/

    Many hosts require their modified clients to be downloaded. In these sorts of cases, this could be helpful.
