    Invincible Weapon Skill Training

I searched and found nothing. We did this last night in Botanica while waiting for the priest to run back. If you banish a Demon or Elemental, you can train your weapon skill without fear or getting killed, plus you can banish and re banish for how ever long you need.

Not sure about weapon skill, but unless they changed it, a warrior can also build up rage on a banished creature. Used to do this in mara all the time a few months ago

    WRong wrong wrong.

Warriors does NOT build up rage by hitting a banished target, and I highly doubt you can train weapon skill on it either. Not sure though ;P

wow, not to be aggrogant but yes this does work. it's worked for a long time way before tbc. it is working as intended..

also note theres a perma banished demon in shadowmoon valley (for a quest) that you can level all your weapon skills on without needing a lock to banish.

Warriors can Generate rage on a banished mob. I am a fury warrior and I get 1 rage every 4 swings on average. Its slow, but it does work. This may be tied to unbridled wrath.

    Re: Invincible Weapon Skill Training

For lazy bastard hunters almost unattended weapon skill training:

I have used Servants of Sevine (check thott for map) in Blasted Lands several times for weapon skill training. Being a hunter at level 70, you can train weapon skill while watching a movie or reading a book or whatever.

    Here's how:
Get a good tanking pet (e.g. a bear), spec that pet for high armor so it takes very little damage, and growl ability.

Go to up in the hills where the servants are. Send your pet on a servant, and run up into the hills not to be in the path of the wandering warlocks. Put pet on follow. Put pet on attack again when the mob is in a suitable place.

Equip whatever weapon you want to train skill for. Let your pet take all the aggro and weild your weapon like a maniac. After some time, you need to heal your pet using Mend pet spell a couple of times. After some more time, you need to feed your pet. Cast a freezing trap, feign death, get out of combat, feet pet, wait for pet to eat, and send pet on trapped mob again.

By doing this, you can train whatever skill almost unattended.

Servants of Sevine drops a stone at low health, and unless you destroy that stone, they can NEVER be killed. So this is not an exploit and working as intended.

Remember that your weapon still wears down, so you will need to repair it - using a cheaper weapon may lower the costs, but hey, what is 2-3 gold per hour actually?

Only bad thing about this, is if another player notice you and they destroy the servants stone. This only happened to me once.

Fear me, I now have 350 unarmed. 349-350 still takes a while. Upped that skill laying on the sofa, clicking the lmb on my wireless mouse once every 2-3 minutes, reading a book, and paid more attention feeding my pet once in a while. I have done over 2000 swings with my 2h axe without getting that last skill point, so I guess I need to spend some more time hitting those servants.

    Re: Invincible Weapon Skill Training

It is possible you can get banned for doing this. I remember months ago that someone got banned because it was an abuse of game mechanics.

Someone could mistake you for a bot or something and report you. Depending on which GM you get it could be a ban or just a message to check to see if you are a bot.

But never the less very useful for training weapon skills. Those always seem to take ages.
