Model Edit without MEF

I decided to try to get out of leecher.
I had a MPQ in my data while I was patching to 2.3, after it had patched it was still in there, I logged into WoW and had forgotten about it. I went into my paladin and it was still doing the effects.
If I took the MPQ out of the folder, WoW wouldnt start.
So I think this is a way to get MPQ's to work without a MEF

I think it is the thing if u have a Patch-4.MPQ for example it adds it into the new patch MPQ?

This can corrupt your WoW as in if blizzard installs an official patch, the model edits add in to the normal patch. Odd it works with you tho

Thanks for all the rep, and it needed a MEF before the patch, so dont see why theyd change that.

How long time did u use the patch ? Sometims it overwrite the right model. (Reset all files to fix this)

What did u change ? Head shoulder enchants weaps dont need, and more.

well you said effects... i assume it were like spell edits or something, they dont require MEF but things like world editing and race editing do

As far as I know, some model edits don't need MEF.

Just texture changes don´t need mef.

However changes like human to night elf does.

I named my patch patch-2 and installed a patch a while ago, it overwrite the patch-2 and combined the edit in the new patch. However it didn´t work with a model change it did work with just textures for me though.

It was a part of a shadow paladin pack, changing the spells.
