Both of them gives spirit. so all he points out is that u get mana very fast with lots of spirit...(i think)

Inner focus does not give spirit, but make ur next spell cost 100% mana less, and give a 25% chance to crit

Actually neither DI does.DI shields the dude sacrificing the pala.The shield lasts for 3 mins and the target can't move cast spells or do anything.And he is out of combat

Over the years there have been several occurrences of Inner Focus "misbehaving" and either being consumed without granting the Crit Bonus/Free Spell or becoming "stuck on" until the character died or changed zones.

It seems to be related to lag somehow, just like various other "once in a lifetime" bugs and glitches that occur to various people. I don't know if there's a link between DI and Inner Focus "sticking", but if there is it's perhaps related to the timing of the spells going off. A lot of people have tried to figure out why IF can become permanent, and this was a novel way of approaching it. Thank you, OP.

Jep, happend to me once, right after release of BC. Don't remeber how exactly it happend, but i clicked on my "Inner Focus" rapidly and then very quickly a shield or sth. else.
-> Free Cast (i had Holy Nova skilled back then )
sadly i entered an instance about 15 minutes later and the fun ended...

so if you once get the luck: think of sth. nice to do, don't port etc..
(never could recreate it, so i guess pure luck and some lag, maybe i had cast Inner Focus twice which is impossible normaly... I dunno...)
