I really have NO clue if this works or not ( have a 41 lock).

If you want to buy a regular mount ( like, pink hawkstrider, not amani war bear) but don't have the rep to buy one....
Make a lv 1 char.

Send 60g to him.

Get the lv 1 char to buy a mount and send it to your main.

This used to be how it was back in the day, get a higher level with honored with your faction to buy the mount for you to save gold, but they changed it and made them BOP.

I think this would've worked pre-bc, when mounts were BoE. But they changed that probably because of this. A little too late, but atleast you're thinking. ;D

Back in the day was when you didn't need riding skill nor reputation to use them.

So if you wanted the raptor, and you had a friend Exalted, he could just buy it to you.

This was the best.

apart from said mounts used to cost 1000g on their own, for each one, theres been no real way to trick they system on mounts

btw, this didn't work back in the day, because u needed the riding skill 2, which made this not possible, the reason they changed it was because of people wanting more mounts didn't want to pay that much for it, the only way you could exploit it was buy a mount before the patch came and use the mount when it came.

If you remember the wintersaber mount, how hard wasn't it to get one as f.ex a gnome because you needed to grind the rep with them and darnassus to get the riding skill for the tiger:P

The only usage i found for this was get someone who's honored and rank 3 (as it was back then) to buy the mount for u and u got it 20% cheaper xD

This never worked. The mounts were BOE, but required faction-specific riding skills.

IE:
I could have a Night Elf buy me a level 40 tiger, and have him mail it to me since it was BOE, but I cannot use it until I reach exalted with Darnassus and buy myself Tiger Riding skill.

This does not work anymore, i wont flame you for that. It was fixed patches ago anyway but, it was very sweeeeeeeeeet when it worked!
