Ive got only one question, you say that you dont hit the gong and clear the trash. Then you said you die and then run back to the instance then you ring the gong and start the timer. I dont get how that wouldnt save you? Please exlpain to me :confused: i just woke up so maybe i need some coffee or something to fully understand it hahah. Anyway +rep

Its simple.

Banging the gong in ANY way DOES save you. So you can only get one bear mount, and one set of timed event loot.

BUT, if you want to farm badges, just DONT hit the gong, and every 30 mins, just xploit through the gate and clear bosses. Rinse and repeat. But maybe after a few runs of doing this, go ahead and hit the gong after clearing trash, then easy timed events with no trash! Therefore, 1 easy bear mount every 3 days.

Since you're not saved to the instance, couldn't you reset the instance instead of waiting for a soft reset?

Seems like that would be faster, unless there's a reason not to.

You cannot reset raid or heroic instances.

this will work before 2.4 gets patched so chop chop and yes its bannable.

We did this for a few weeks in our guild, about 15 people got bear mounts. Suddenly, everyone who had stepped foot in a ZA where people had done this got 3 day bans. They took every piece of loot that we got from these ZA runs, took the bear mounts, and took every badge we had (not just the ones we got from the ZA runs). We had a few guys lose 300+ badges because of this.

Just a warning. You'll probably be able to ride your awesome bear mount around for a few weeks (like I did) but you'll pay for it in the end. Was it worth it? Totally.


Edit- Just to clarify, this works with every horde race. It sometimes takes a few attempts, but you can get through. Make sure to face as straight through the gap as you can, don't try to go in at an angle.

Personally I have been doing this for weeks and haven't been found out or banned at all.

As far as the whole "wont the instance reset if you die." It wont reset in what little time, no matter what raid instance or heroic it wont soft reset until 30 minutes of no one being in the instance.
