Making custom factions aggressive?
Does anyone happen to know anything about what exactly in Faction.dbc makes a faction aggressive? I've been experimenting a little bit and for some reason even if i set the base reputation to -42000 they're still not aggressive. The NPCs with the custom faction appear as aggressive, but don't attack me and I can't attack them.
For the custom factions, I used this guide, in case that makes any sort of difference.
([DBC Editing] Creating New Factions)
Thanks in advance

I can't look in depth but I'd suggest looking at the faction id'26' which I use to set NPCs as aggressive towards everyone.
It might have a flag that you forgot to put in your new faction.
Also, maybe look at the spell 'Zombie Tech Test' from WotLK that adds an an effect called 'Apply Aura: Faction Override (1630)', so perhaps the faction id '1630' could work too - and people could be ally to them by gaining the said spell and thus becoming attackable by anyone else but said faction.
You'll need to check around both in your DBC files (client-side) and database (server-side) and twink it around. You'll find eventually !

Aye, this is driven by the Faction.dbc file. Some documentation here: TrinityCore Collaboration Platform
Key factions:
Code:
ID, Reputation ID, Name
7 -1 Creature
14 -1 Monster
31 -1 Friendly
