Hosting.
Greetings,
I made many advancements in my server and i see it the right time to open it to the public. Or atleast country-wide, so i can show my friends what i've made.
The issue is that i don't have any idea how to host the server. If someone knows how to host my server, i'm waiting for an answer.
PS: Prefered if you tell me the both ways. The free and the paid.

Hosting is just running the emulator + DB + website 24/7 on a computer. You will need to open the required ports on your local firewall and at a router level if on a home network. There are plenty of guides for this out there. Opening ports is always risky because then you are opening yourself up to traffic on those ports from external connections, and if there is a security hole somewhere someone could end up exploiting it.
Paid hosting is the same but usually there's no firewall at a router level so you only need to open the ports on the servers software. If there's a security issue then your home pc is now not compromised.
If you are looking to just get it so that you can try the server with a few friends then I would recommend Hamachi. It creates a virtual local area network (LAN) that other people with Hamachi can connect to. Because it's a local area network the ports do not need to be open. It acts the same way as a VPN (virtual private network) - only people on the network can connect.

Oh, Hamachi always used to be free. I didn't realise it was paid now.
