Can anyone help me with mysql database

Okay heres the problem, im having trouble with Mysql, i already forwarded the ports. I started the mysql program with the launcher, i changed the password but i still cant connect to the database through mysql. i made a wow server back in 08 when the core was ascent i believe? made it public. it was alot of fun, but this right here im ready to pull my hair out. could anyone please give me a hand with this?

I have teamviewer, i can create skype anything just so we can communicate and you can look at the problem
