This is simply misinformation. Repacks are as stable as any other normal compiled emulator. Compiling your own binary is not going to make any difference whatsoever in terms of stability.

What compiling yourself allows you to do is to update your server so that you gain the latest bug fixes first, and can fix things yourself. You cannot modify most of the code nor much of the database without compiling yourself.

For 3.3.5a, any TrinityCore is pretty much as good as you are ever going to get in the emulation scene. It's very good in that it is mostly bug free and very stable over very long periods of time and high player counts.

Keep pushing the newbies further down the ladder Harry. Lets just sit by and wait for the threads about how to fix that and this on their repacks.
If everyones were to use repacks, there would be even less emulation development than it already is today so stop telling people to go prepacked shit please. (and I'm not even mad)

    www.repackcore.com

And to go on-topic again, all repacks have glitches and broken functions compile your own core to get the latest fixes from the core developers. And someday you may even contribute something back to the community and not just be a uselss leecher.

This is completely elitist attitude and not helpful in any way. Everyone starts somewhere and these people are not trying to become the next biggest server. Nothing in emulation says you must be a computer scientist passed with 2:1 minimum, 3 years industry experience required.

If you don't want to help people who have issues using these resources then don't reply. Stop blocking people having fun.

On the same argument, all emulators have 'broken functions'. Work is ongoing and will forever-more be ongoing. You do not need to be on the latest version. Nor is there any reason why repacks can't always be on the latest version (auto-compile and upload binaries is a thing with each commit).

There is literally no purpose in making someone go through the bother of compiling themselves when they are only wanting to mess around with a small server for them and their friends (or similar). Especially since TrinityCore now has a ridiculous number of dependencies to install and configure.
