Mac OS 10.10, 1.12.1 Private Server?

Hey this is a very general question but ill do my best to narrow it down, Is it possible to create a 1.12 Classic Wow server on mac 10.10 OS? I don't need it public or any add ons, just a blizzlike personal nostalgia server.

Yes, via virtual machine; I don't know enough about Mac's to claim otherwise.
