Are there servers running patches older than 1.12.1?

Greetings!

I started playing wow around Christmas 2006 and while I think 1.12.1 vanilla servers are fun and all, I would very much like to see what the game was like even before that.
If there are any servers out there running older patches, I would love to check them out.

If for any reason there are no hosted servers, would it be possible to get the client for one of the patches and host my own local one just to look around?
I already have the alpha client that's floating around.
