They will prob send you a mail with a wall of text saying that if you don't shut down you will face legal action and so on.

vmaps/maps/dbc is illegal since blizzard owns those files so it's a copyright crime or W/e. But noone cares.

I just want to clarify that vmaps and map files are not owned by blizzard, the files however to generate them are.

The chances you will ever reach a point of law is unlikely, MoltenCore is still going, oldschool WoWGasm never got brought down (just lost most of it's players). Tons of servers are still running with 1,000's of players each, with 10,000's of dollars in donations coming in. It's not in Blizzards best interests to sue every server. Lawyers of the caliber Blizzard/Activision use cost a fortune. And these kinds of cases take a very long time, then you gotta take into account, that's per server they have to do it for. And they would use a couple of lawyers per case not a single one.

So unless they find a way to cut the head off the snake and go for the sources like TrinityCore, which are completely legal open source scripts, that don't actually distribute any property of Blizzard, they won't touch you, or your kids... I mean what!?!?

Actually they do, its like a piracy copy of their files. You can get sued for using it.


@newowserver, do what the hell you want, if blizzard we're to get mad they'll just warn you to shut down or else face legal action. The chance of getting caught by the long arm of the law is slim to none.
