    Spell casting animation change

I have just returned to the world of wow editing, and I was wondering now when the editing has evolved, if it possible to change spell casting animation to e.g sword swing animation of staff swing animation. By this I mean when you would cast a firebold, it wouldnt be by hands but my swinging a staff or a sword.

In 3.3.5 you can change spell visualizations with column 131 and 132 in "spell.dbc". Then the 2 methods of finding the spell visual ID's you want are:

Easy: Search for a spell you want the visualization to look like on old.wowhead.com (for 3.3.5). Then go to that number spell in the first column in "spell.dbc". Copy the number in column 131 to column 131 in your spell.

Hard: Go to "SpellVisual.dbc" and look through the spells manually.

You can also edit the "SpellVisual.dbc" however I don't really want to have to explain it all as it will take quite a while lol. Just stick with the basics for now. Also use these to help you in the future:

    Spell.dbc
    SpellVisual.dbc

Hi I tried this and it didnt work.
I tried to make arcame missile be shot my wand but it still shoots it from hands.
I looked up the the wand shoot spell id from spell.dbc , and looked the row 131 number which was 0.
I changed the row 131 in arcane missile to 0, but it still shoots it from the hands.??

Well that is what im tryin to swap. Spell cast animation to weapon animation. E.g casting fireball causes the char to swing a sword or casting a arcane missile the character swings staff/wand/axe etc..?

Honestly, I haven't tried change weapon animations. I don't even know if it's possible without model edits (Without simply swapping with other weapon animations). Better off asking in the Model Editing part of the forum.
