    Do people still play on Private servers anymore?

    Are private servers dead for WoW?
    I play WoW regularly but its getting pretty friggen boring and I was looking to get back to private servers, are they virtually dead or are they still around/
    Anyone know? Also ill pay money to talk to someone on AIM more about the state of private servers, PM me!

    They are very much alive and people do play them yes.
    I believe molten wow is currently the most popular server. Do checkout the xtremetop100 site for more info on private server rankings.

    They are very much still around. Just have to find the right one. WoW is def. not as big as it was say 3 to 4 years ago though.

    The main issue with servers now a days is its all ran around donations and its uderly ridiculous how unfun some of the servers have became since then.

    The only problem with wow private-servers is the number of players :/

    on a normal wow server you have about 20.000 players, on a pserver ~ 1.000

    If a Realm can only hold around 5000 people. so even on retail wow youll never see 20000 people in the same realm...
