    Current Reccomended Emulator

    Hey all,

I've been away from the WoW private server scene for a while working on other projects to get me somewhere in life or getting high...
Basically, I was wondering what emulator is currently the best for stability and customisations?

    thanks

Stability: Anything MaNGOS Based that isn't Skyfire. (MaNGOS or TrinityCore)
Customization without ANY knowledge of C++: Arcemu
Customization with even a TINY bit of C++ Knowledge: TrinityCore
    Working Features: TrinityCore

    Short term: ArcEmu
    Long term: Trinity

Simply because with Trinity you only have to implement the customisation you want, rather than with ArcEmu having to trace and debug any crashes and bugs (which is often with ArcEmu due to the smaller test group and development team).

I thought Arcemu was the only ascent-based emulator that was open-source. (Besides Ascent-NG and Sandshroud which don't count because they're super flawed in one way or another)

SkyFire is not Ascent based. It's based off trinity.
