Server Realmlist help

Hey all

Recently came back to WoW Emu and wanted to setup a Trinity Server so done all that working fine.
Now my only problem is i need to make it so I Can Connect Internally and my friend connect Externally but both be on the same server ?
I beleive i managed to do this a while back but cant remember
If anyone could help would be greatly apreciated

Easiest way to do this is to install Hamachi. Its alot easier than forwarding ports and messing with your router. Im sure there is a Trinity Hamachi server somewhere in the guides section.

I have tried hamachi before even with several guides i found it a nightmare to try to get working but thanks anyway

If you post your config files on here im sure someone will be able to assist you further.

I never thought forwarding ports was all that hard. Hamachi was also a nightmare for me.

Basically i have my realmlist like this


in the Database now this allows External Connections however i cant connect without changing it from my External IP to 127.0.0.1
and i dont want to have to change it each time

If you are behind a router just make sure to port forward the neccesary ports.
Thats all. Else make sure you have a really external IP by using What Is My IP Address? Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more...

I dont think you understand, External connections work but i cant connect without changing the external IP to 127.0.0.1

Are you trying to play from the computer that the server is running from? If so.. Set the address to external IP and instead of putting External IP in your REALMLIST put your realmlist at 127.0.0.1.
