Website Sudden Halt

I was just playing with my friends and once we all logged out, we couldn't log in. When we try, the screen freezes for a few mins and when it unfreezes it pops up a message: Login Server Down. Server is running, apache is up. No changes made. When i checked my website, it says: ERROR: Can't connect to MySQL server on '72.228.153.212 ' (4). What the hell happened?

Sounds like your mysql is offline. Did your firewall block it? Is 3306 allowed through your router? Is the mysql service running.
