Website probs

Hey MMowned.

I made this server public and all my m8s wanna come now, so i decided that i would create a website they could register from. I know how to get templates etc, but i have no idea what settings to put into the configs and etc. All the things i've tried untill now just telled me it couldnt connect to mysql

You will need to fill in your SQL connection details.

Localhost = 127.0.0.1

Localhost is the current computer you are on and running, and will only point to that computer.

So if you put localhost on the webhost you are using for the account registration page when it isn't your computer, then it won't work.

Instead you set it up to connect to your IP address:
Go into SQLyog (or navicat etc) -> create user -> fill it in, but put host as the IP that is going to connect (or % for all IP's).

WARNING: % as all IP's is highly "hackable" and not advised.

The other computer/webhost etc connects to your external IP on port 3306 by default, (make sure it's open).

hey, i cant find this SQLyog, but i will just mention that im using HeidiSQL, so shouldnt i make an account for that instead?

There are a lot of websites on the web that offers a register function for World of Warcraft websites.
