I'm a total noob with emulators and private servers, went on a couple back in BC but none since, looking for some help with regards to updating to 2.4.3 from basic burning crusade.

I'm currently torrenting burning crusade, but apparently I'll have to update it to patch 2.4.3 to play on a BC private server. Any chance someone can explain how to update it? Do I just use the blizzard updater or will that just skip me ahead to wotlk/cata?

There was also a link to the patch mirrors page on wowwiki but the earliest on there is the 2.4.3-3.0.1 switch.

Sorry if this is common sense, I just can't seem to figure it out. Did a search for both patch mirrors and 2.4.3 in the search box, came up with nothing.

that's 3.3.5a, will that work for 2.4.3 as well? Like I said, I'm completely clueless when it comes to emulators

Wait? Why would you want to do that? Why not just revamp to a 3.3.5a server....
Just download this torrent and install all updates until 2.4.3 and delete the rest or download them from a mirror and just cancel each time it tries to install 4.0 client.

1.x + = Classic

2.x + = TBC

3.x + = WRATH

4.x + = CATA


You should just follow a new guide and make a new server, that is if you are hosting one. *OR* you should find a new one that is patched 3.x +
