[Help] No Realmlist.wtf

hi there,i installed Wotlk and i want to change the realmlist to 127.0.0.1,but,there is no realmlist.wtf,how do i change the logon and realmlist than or where can i find the realmlist.wtf?

Look in your data - engb (or enus etc depending on client). They moved it to confuse noobs and stop them playing private servers
For me:

C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Data\engb\

Yea, that confused me at first to, i had copied and extra Realmist into my folder and i lost track of which was the real one because they moved it into the Data folder.

Since november 11th/12th the realmlist has been gone from many people who use battle.net, to get around it just make a new realmlist file and put it in Data/engb (enus etc depending on client).

Also, when you change your realmlist.wtf you can still access normal WoW realms without changing it back.

To login to normal WoW realms just use the E-mail address you used for your Battle.net account.

To access the private server simply use your account name for that server.
IE:

User: Admin
Pass: Admin

works only with certain repacks... but
I'd reccomend creating two Realmlist files and swapping them for your real one by changing its name to realmlist.wtf
Or use a realmlist changer, both work very well.

=) It was just an example.
IE = In Example.

But switching out your realmlist file is a good idea too.

Though another trick. In your realmlist.wtf file you're simply
redefining a variable. If you combine all of your wow private
server addresses into 1 realmlist.wtf file then you can simply
put the one you one to connect to on the very bottom. This
way you can keep them all in 1 file.

An example of what I'm saying:

set realmlist wowmgprivateserver.org
set realmlist someotherserver.com
set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com



Since us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com is declared last, you'll
connect to the normal WoW servers.

lol man .. just lol .. windows has one of the best buttons ever made .. it's called the search button .. it's so hard to just hit search in the wow folder and type realmlist.wtf ??

haha dude so true. I swiched over to WOTLK and there were 2 of them. the one that you see in the main folder. i changed it to something then ran the game and it changed it self back haha. but i figured it out later.

Full tutorial here for you to get it working
Things you will need

1. Navicat Lite
2. World Of Warcraft

That last one was a joke cause OFC we all we all have wow but ok /funny off

Ok, to get to your C drive or what ever its called for you, click the start button and go to my computer or just computer and click on whatever hard drive you installed wow to.
once in there go to the Data folder, then the enUS folder or whatever language you have, and scroll down till you see the Realmlist.wtf, if you have never opened it before open it with notepad, If your connecting to your own server erace everything and type in set realmlist 127.0.0.1, if its another server it would be set realmlist randomawesomeserver.org or whatever. once your realmlist has been set up, go to Navicat, hopefully your running it with Arcemu, then to get Navicat to connect to the mySQL server for the account username and stuff go to your server files and find the c onfiguration folder and the login.conf file and copy the stuff in there like <LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
Username = "root"
Password = "ascent"
Name = "logon"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

Once you have all of that done, go to

Navicat, type in the connection name you want it to be, then just put the password which is usually ascent or whatever is in your login.config file as the pass. After your finished with that, connect. you should get Characters, Information, Logon, mysql, and world. Go to Logon and there should be one account in there *your account*if your going to make your server public then you might want to change it so people cant use your logon to mess with the server. After you have your account login credentials, run the server and wait for it to completly load up, then open your wow and type in whatever you set or what was set into the account name and password, after your all logged in just create your account, you can press .c and it will bring up all sorts of commands that you have.
