    Public server help

    Ok, my server is set up to be public. Friends can connect. my buddy in the room with me can connect. no issues for them, its on a different pc then my personal. But, I try to log on with my personal and I get " connecting.. " my firewall is down. no port issues either. so whats up with that? my realmlist is set to the same thing theres are. When they connect? Boom. in game. two of them. When I try? connecting.... and nothing. same install, same file, when I was hosting it on my personal I couldnt connect to it then... so I tried a diff one. When I lan straight to my buddy and host it myself we can both play.. but now.. " Connecting..." They can get in, I cant.

    Can you please post your configuration files? Also please post your hosts file at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

    Are you also sure that your using the correct version of world of warcraft for your server? Anyhow post those configs quickly ^.^

    Assuming your using an ArcEmu core, when setting up your realms.conf (Not sure what the mangos config is) you should have near the bottom,

    <Realm1 Name = "SERVER NAME HERE"
    Address = "SOMEIPADDRESS:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    Or something similar. Go up where it says:

    <LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1"
    Port = "8093"
    Name = "Default Logon"
    RealmCount = "1">

    And change the RealmCount to 3 and have this at the bottom:
    <Realm1 Name = "SERVER NAME HERE"
    Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    <Realm2 Name = "SERVER NAME HERE"
    Address = "Your Internal IP:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    <Realm3 Name = "SERVER NAME HERE"
    Address = "Your External IP:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    The way this works is the first realm is what you connect to. It is your localhost IP address. The second is your internal IP address. People on the same network as you but not your computer use this to connect to the server. Basically any computer besides the server in your house uses it. The third is your external IP which is the IP address for your router and what everyone outside your house uses.

    To find your internal IP, open start, run CMD and type ipconfig and it will be something like 192.168.1.111 The last few numbers are whatever your IP is. To get your external IP go to whatismyip.com and now you should be able to connect using 127.0.0.1 they will use whatever they were using previously.
