can someone post or send me a thorough guide to setting up a server on ubuntu linux. I am familiar with mangos on windows but want to learn linux now so.... Guess you need to make the guide as noob/dummy friendly as possible please.

This might work but im not sure, you can use mangoes wich launches from a .exe file, and linux don't use .exe's but there is a way to launch them. You can use a program called wine that launches .exe files inside of linux. There are tutorials on youtube, just type in " how to launch .exe files in lunix ", something helpful might come up
