Complete Mod?

Long time lurker, but something occurred to me today. With the ability to completely change pretty much everything within WoW, would it be possible to completely create a new world?

Can we create "World of Starcraft" for instance? Let's assume we have all the assets (models, effects and such).

Yes; and many people have attempted it. It is simple too large a project to take on.

There are a few groups that have tried this such as ModCraft. It is a very large and time consuming task, but well worth it in the end :P
