Custom Currency

So, I was thinking about trying to make a custom currency for my server. They would get rewarded a certain ammount for killing bosses/turning in farmable items/and rewards from events. They could use the points and a number of things, including Rep Vendor, XP Vendor, and some other to be thought of. Could anyone give me some pointers, or help me wright it?

Depends on how indepth you want this currency to be. You can use a generic token as an item, and then you can go a step further and incorporate itinto extendeditem cost as well.
Or, you could go the extra super mile and throw in some client editing; your choice :P

Hmmm, well I do want the extended cost for some items. But I want this to be as detailed as can be without requiring my players to download something for it to work properly.

I dont want it to just be a token. I want it to be a scripted currency. Somewhat like http://www.(ac.web).com/forums/showthread.php?t=91851 but I want to make it my own. Custom to my server. and with more features
