[Mangos] Unable to Validate Version 3.0.8

I'm trying to switch over from Arcemu to Mangos to see if Mangos is any "better" at what it does. [running wow version 3.0.8 (9464)]

As far as I know, I've managed to get the Mangos server to run. However when I attempt to log in I get the "unable to validate version". I've looked around the internet but only found the following quote as a viable solution.
    http://www.***********/forums/showthread.php?t=44851
Well I have noticed that there is 2 versions of 3.0.8 out. both 9464 and 9506

You need to change your logonserver config to the following:

    <Client MinBuild = "9464"
    MaxBuild = "9506">
First off, I don't know what config file the quote is referring to and I've looked again and again.

I have been able to play on Arcemu with my friends so I'm kinda dumbfounded as to why this is happening.
    ____________
    Other Concerning Questions:
    1) Unlike Arcemu, Mangos does not have a "flags" collumn in the data table for user accounts. How do I designate BC access?

    2) Is it possible to import characters from the Arcemu database to the Mangos database? It's not a real problem cuz my friends and I could just flex our gm powers and get to where we left off quickly.

    3) Does Mangos not support .LUA scripts?

This would be handled under realmd I beleive, also, if the repack isn't made for 3.0.8 then they will not be able to connect at all, as recent packet changes will dissallow older clients.

    1) It has a expansion column, i beleive that for BC its 1.

    2) Manually, yes, if you was to dump the SQL table and place it back, you would have to edit the SQL to insert directly without errors.

    3) No it doesn't use .Lua.

downloaded 3.0.8 9464 to 3.0.8 9506 enUS.exe and was able to log in using account: Administrator and password: administrator

took me awhile to adjust to the gm commands for Mangos. Anyways, quickly learned that creating accounts in-game or in console was the correct way to do it on Mangos (can't do it in SQLyog for some weird reason).

to create an account from the console:
    create account name password

adjust their admin powers: open SQLyog > realmd > accounts table data and under gmlevel put 3 for Admin, 2 for Gamemaster and 1 for Moderator

also be sure to put what expansion level for each account (its at the end of the row of data) 1 = BC and 2 = LK

You can through SQLyog but the process is different, as you have to MD5 hash the password and username together or something like that, much easier to do it in the console or ingame
