[MySQL] Website MYSQL + Server MYSQL Link up

I swear, i have checked, double checked and TRIPLE CHECKED this problem,

i use wamp and when i click start all services, it goes to the full, 'white' ((HOOOORAH!!))? well not because then it says the localhost@user denied using password(YES)

i have changed every single password in these bluddy files to the original ASCENT and it still wont work and the two mysqls are still saying how they are using the same port.

All the databases are connected into one connection and ive linked up the WWW folder with the 'website' database and the same password and everything?!! anyhelp please and can you give persific guides because as ive said in another help thread im very stifffy (to emulating again) and im not sure what config files to open and change and blabla.

Go to task manager, go to processes, end all instances of "mysql-d.exe" or things mentioning mysql.

Then open your MySQL from your repack/already configured database, then open wamp, make sure the files have been edited (the config files in the website) for the right login information. This should fix the clash of the two mysql's. If it doesn't, the default mysql password for wamp is blank i beleive (I.E "")

i have the same problem , im using Ascent repack for 3.3.2.
I have wrote everything right i think , im not sure about the DB.


Where can i see it ?

Beacuse i gets this error

Error: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: mysqlnd cannot connect to MySQL 4.1+ using old authentication.

one word of advice thim99, dont bother. its too much effort, ive given up. trieed everything hehe

Mrjoker, try and set the password to blank, and run wamp. It could be that the Wamp MySQL is overwriting your current one.

ye that is exactly what it was doing, but... now ive mucked it all up trying to fiddle around with it. i don't like wamp, never liked it can't i just do it inside the server folder ;/ i loved the days of HTDOCS
