ArcEmu Navicat "cannot Connect root@pass.."

Oookay, so I'll try to give as much details as possible.

theres the guide ive been following - ive had a cople set backs with obtianing DBC and Maps of 3.3.2 but i obtained an extractor from a helper and got those - now i replaced the dbc and map folders with the new ones in the server folder, etc. (will make sense if u scroll down the guide to Compiling database)

I'm at the part where i need to use Navi cat. I turn on navicat - create a new connection. he says in teh guide, to create a pass "I told you about earlier" - well earlier he said to NOT add a pass till later...so now is later...and when i enter a pass - and test connection...the conenction does not go through.. but when i remove the password, i get a connection...

is there some file like a config file that has a defaul password and username i need to look at or something? because im hella stumped an this is my 3rd attempt. will rep any help. thank you.

ya that guide is old lol I would have added a password myself but the guide is good thats the one i learned from

go into mysql settings like u did to set it up and add a password and when u go into navicat use the password u used in mysql make sure you reboot your computer after you change mysql settings

Also ensure your connection to localhost as host not "pass"
