Dedicated server help

Does anyone know how to setup up the wow server on a dedicated server , i have it setup fine on my comp people could connect now im just confused as to why its not working plz , anyone some help XD

Make sure to double check your ports, as well as internal and external IP settings in your configs. Make sure they match up with the dedicated servers, not your home computers.

i started to get it going good then i somehow locked my self completly out of localhost etc for MySQL and get error like 1130 and reinstalled uninstalled many times and cant get the server instance config to fully install anymore. ive talked to my interserver people tta dont even know how to run MySQL so there a dead end so im stuck.

Error 1130 = Password?

If so, navigate to the install directory, and find a file named "my.ini" (It should be there), and hopefully that will contain the mysql password nearer the bottem.

You have to restart your computer/dedi after uninstalling MySQL, once it is back up the instaltion should work fully instead of getting stucky near the end/half way.

couldnt find where the mysql password was in the my.ini but +Rep to all of ya restart comp solution worked and the external was the internal just one ip i found out thats why iw as confused XD
