Another "Hamachi, Only I Can Connect"

Hey guys!

I'm running 711's Mangos repack for 3.1.3.

I used to have a running server for just my girlfriend and I, but we got bored of it and moved on. A few months has passed and we've got the WoW itch again.

Trying to set the server up on my PC via Hamachi, but only I can connect to it! Anytime she tries, it says the login server is down. She's connected to me over Hamachi. Here's the config files. Thanks guys!

Probably a pretty noob mistake in there somewhere I'm sure...

edit: Her realmlist.wtf has been set to my Hamachi IP as well.

edit 2: I just went back into her laptops realmlist.wtf and the realmList had reverted back to 127.0.0.1.. I changed it to my Hamachi address, saved the file, restarted WOW and she still couldn't connect. Went back into her realmlist.wtf and it had switched back again! O_o
Cant seem to make the change permanent!

Correct, we can chat between one another.

Say I had deleted her copy of WoW a long time ago, and when we decided to start playing again I didn't want to have to install it on her laptop as it takes hours.

So instead, I setup the Mangos server for me to play on, copied my entire WoW directory (including Mangos stuff) to an external hard drive and just pasted it on her hard drive, could that be the cause?

Like I said, I changed her realmlist file, and I'm not starting Mangos on her laptop or anything, just WoW.

I'm doing a fresh install on her machine right now just in case this is the problem.

It says "connecting" then "The Login Server Is Down"

Try changing all of the information back to 127.0.0.1

Then in your database under the realmd database, open the "realmlist" table and change it to your hamachi ip.

Changed everything in Mangos and Realm .conf files back to the 127.0.0.1.

Then restarted server (realm database is still set to Hamachi IP).

Same thing still =/

Pretty baffled.. ports are forwarded as well, which was my problem the first time I ever did this, but they're definitely all open now, even tested with utorrent.

edit: Should I not be concerned with her WTF file resetting back to 127 each time I run WoW? I thought I was supposed to set it to my Hamachi IP? Seems weird to me that its reverting back to 127 everytime I try to log in!

Try and change it to the hamachi ip, and then set the priorties to read only.

That will stop WoW from making any changes, aslong as you dont run it as admin.

how strange.. with a fresh install and her realmlist changed, she gets past the login part... now when she gets to character select it tells her she needs to patch even though we're both running 3.1.3!

edit: Problem solved! Was editing the wrong realmlist file on her pc.

Say, have you ever heard of people having a problem with Mangos 3.1.3 repacks to where all the lower level monsters (say to about.. level 10) do 1 damage to all players, then suddenly around level 15-20ish they all start hitting for what seems like max damage, and critting often?

Even greens are able to 4 or 5 shot me. I look at all the comments on 711's mangos 3.1.3 repack thread and a few other people reported the same thing.

Mabye the damage set is wrong for them, maybe what ever database he used had that error.

Take a look in the database for the table (I dont actually know the way to change on Mangos... :P)

I'll start taking a look through a few tables, though I have no idea which table it'd be or how to tell if the values are off

Well look for something mentioning creature obviously.

Then inside that take a look for damage.

Took a look at the Creature_template table and found all of the monsters and their stats (Hp, mana, min damage, max damage, etc).

They all look.. normal I guess. I wouldn't really know whats normal though.

Anyhow, I was messing around in Navicat and it looks like Navi has an import table feature. Would it be possible to just take a basic creature table from another repack or something and inject it into my mangos database? I have no idea on things like this, or if it'd even help, just a thought..

edit: Another thing I've noticed about this repack.. The guards in the main cities don't give directions to anything. They pretty much just say "Hi.. Have a nice day". Is this normal on most private servers?
