    command_overrides question

I have read through countless threads on this, with a few conflicting answers, but still to no avail.

I'm running a small server for some friends and I and I am trying to set them up with some GM commands. So after some looking around, I find I need to change the command_overrides table and change the account permissions and such. So I did, and I have some commands set. As far as I can tell you need the '.' before the commands, must have the subcommands along with the main command, and need to use an unused access level. All of the commands are set to level 7 at the moment, and when duel boxing I can see that the other account is set to level 7, but all it can use is .command, help, calcdist, gm, server, and character, and the .character has no subcommands. I tried enabling the player commands in the world.conf file, and its still not working. I have also restart the server, reloaded the tables, and rehashed the config files. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or do I need to change those level files in the core? I'm running on a ArcEmu core rev 2923 x86.

In the Logon database in the Characters table I dont see a "GM" column. If you mean the account table I have the permissions set to "7".

I have tried without the "." as well. And for some reason I have the same table in my world DB and it looks the same.
(I could not get the thumbnail to work for some reason.. sorry about that.)

Make a custom rank and give that rank the commands you want them to have. And keep going UP the chain so you get it right. GL just look at some tuts we have here on MMOwned.

Well.. there were some reports that I need the ".", and some that say I don't. I changed it to without the "." just to see what would happen, and nothing. However while I was sleeping my server crashed and froze my computer, then when it restarted it was fixed! Oh well, whatever. On that note, is it possible to change who the GM commands can target? I don't want people changing the displayid's of NPCs and stuff.

That would be a core edit im afarid, seems the one thing anyone suggested was for you to restart, which is the most obvious thing to do. Aha
