    Is this possible?

    Hello everyone.

On the long busride home from school, I was thinking about what I could do to improve my server. I suddenly thought of how my friend and I cleared out Karazhan and made it a kind of party castle (which has since been restored due to me having to reload the database). What I thought of is to make a copy Karazhan (or something similar) and do the same thing that we did before. However, what I want to do is make it it's OWN fully custom instance.

Now I know that there's guides out there on how to make a "custom instance", but what I want to do is to take it to the next level and make a TRULY custom instance instead of just placing GOs.

    So my question is:
Is it possible to make a copy of an existing instance (like Karazhan) and turn it into it's own instanced zone? And if so, how would I go about doing it?

    Thank you for your time,
    Sheldrake

    No.
You can't create your own maps without some heavy model editing, and then everybody needs to download a patch.

Do you mean like having karazhan and a heroic one and you can just add different mobs?

You CAN, however, respawn and rescript a custom Kharazan in the existing Kharazan.

You can't have a copy of the original one and a custom one since the two would clash as there is no heroic version of karazhan. You would need to make a invisible npc at the start that checks for something with the player (e.g I use levels when creating custom instance to spawn npc's of different levels and power) but this would not work for a custom event and original instance since what would you check for? You could use a gossip npc but then that look s unproffesional. Either way you would need to spend years getting all the coords and spawning it correctly.
