    Some more questions!

So I finished reading tons of things about Emulation, coding, and compiling! Now I have a few questions!

    1. NCDB is a database most people use from what I understand, though I heard some people say that that DB is dead now, is that true?

    2. If so, what database should I use when I compile and setup my server then?

    3. If I compile my own server with the SVN, then does that mean I have the latest ArcEmu repack? And if so, how do i know if my database supports the revision?

    4. On the arcemu site, they have .patch files, that fix specific things... How do I put those to use on my server? Do i compile them and put them in the script bin?

    5. I really don't know much about databases, i know how to edit them, ofc. But what's the difference between having NCDB, isn't MySql a database? Please tell me just some information about this stuff!

Thank you ahead of time, I appreciate you taking the time to even post anything!

    1. Yes, you should probably use RivalDB for Aspire, WhyDB for ArcEmu, or UDB for MaNGOS-based emulators.
    2. ^^
    3. It means that you have the latest revision from that emulator. You are also able to compile C++ scripts and make core edits.
    4. You do not compile .patch scripts. Right-click the directory of the files being patched (Just right-click your ArcEmu SVN folder) TortoiseSVN -> Apply Patch and browse to the .patch file you have downloaded.
    5. NCDB is a database. MySQL is an SQL client, that allows creation, storage, and munipulation of relational data (aka tables). SQL is the language that you are actually using.

ArcEmu have a lot of bugs with 3.1.3 at the moment
Aspire seems a lot more stable with 3.1.3 branch
