Version Validation

I have done a Patch Downloader and Launcher in VB for my PS
Always check for new version of patches and i want make a thing like Live server for version Validation.

Example, one retarded user dont download and install my launcher, and want play anyway without patch.
I want that this user cant Play!

I'ts possible to costumize the patch version check when user try to login?

You can edit the logonserver to check a value in your mysql database.
If a user is up to date with your current patch, have his ip (or other value) entered in a table. Then, when that IP tries to authenticate, the logonserver will check the mysql database to see if he is patched. If the user hasn't patched, his IP will not be in the table, therefor - will not be allowed to authenticate.

I dont know if you are tell me about the already system validation, or make 1 my self.

I have a 3.2 Repack by Paradox. This system version validation is functional, because if i try to login with different patch/expansion, i cant login.

Anyways

What i need to do?

1.I make a new Patch, i need to set a value in the server, for specify the patch required.

What and Where i need to set/modify?

2. When i make a patch, i need to set a value into patch, because i need to test if the users have the up to date patch.

What and Where i need to set into my patch?

I hope i can do this thing, i really need!
