Installing Database

I have done this before and now i cant remember how i did it. ive finished mostley everything a person would have to do to start a server but i suck at installing a database. im using rivalDB but everytime i load it i keep getting

sever has crashed reason was an access violation at 0.005 etc etc etc.

it shows up just after it loads guilds and so forth. i cant figure out where i went wrong. any help would be great

actually nvm i installed whyDB instead. but does anyone know when/if arcemu will be up to date with the current patch. it seems they are a bit behind as all i get is unable to validate game version. I play retail so therefore im on the current patch. thanks guys

^^ It is doubtful that Arc will ever accomplish this. There are only three or so active developers, and as far as I know, none of them are capable of updating the things that need updating.

a few questions. I have been out of the loop for a while. is there an emulator who does keep up to date with patches or should I just go back to whatever patch arc is at and how would i check what patch they support? mind you this server is going to be on a different computer than my retail version.

There is a ArcEmu 3.1.x now being developed by a seperate guy, although it isn't even nearly finished and Northrend is buggy as hell. Off topic slightly I'm hoping for them to create another branch of ArcEmu and to keep working on it because no matter what people say, it is the most user-friendly and easiest to develop on. Just simple things like .lookup object saves so much hassle.
Mangos / Trinity Core (similar) are 3.1.x the best at the moment.
Aspire Hearthstone have a 3.1.x branch, although last time I checked there was a lot of major bugs still.
Then theres 1000 private projects who people try to boast and are just copys of other projects changed a bit.
And then there is Wcell and stuff which are getting there... slowly.

I think it is funny how the little projects get support for the new patches before anyone else, that just makes me laugh a little inside.
