    Increased Default Run Speed?

    he it goes, I've seen a server that has 20% faster game play. everything regen, Cast time, run speed, mobs run fast all of it. Anyway I've been trying to recreate this on my own server. now i have managed to increase the speed of everything in the world except character run speed. doesn't help if every thing runs faster if you still run slow. Any idea's? Oh and I'm using Mangos

    ok im like master of emulation here so um the increased run speed can either be set in the dbc files or the cpp files in the core... so there may be a player.cpp or something that has a default speed... it should say 7 for default which is the entire game default speed for running and 3 is walking speed... so it must be inside the core might want to check around in the cpp files for a default player speed the database does not increase speed it is the main data center of the entire server it reads any npc and spawns it within 100 to 600 yards or what not... its a grreat way to save data and configurations but the only problem is that the speed cannot be controlled by the mysql databases for the WoW server unless all npc's speeds were increased up like 10 times or something but the player will remain its same speed there you go solution completed: it is in the core cpp files try player.cpp or something

    It's in the player.cpp and defined in player.h

    #define PLAYER_NORMAL_RUN_SPEED 7.0f
    #define PLAYER_NORMAL_SWIM_SPEED 4.722222f
    #define PLAYER_NORMAL_FLIGHT_SPEED 7.0f

    Don't bother adding to it if you can change 1 line (no offence mager).
    Simple change Even somone who doesn't know C++ could do it.

    You need to have the "core" files, or the source files to the project. You must compile your own MaNGOS. And the people above assumed you were using ArcEmu, so actually the stuff above wouldn't work. However, you still have to edit a .cpp file in the MaNGOS core.
