My friends connecting database over hamachi

    Hi,
my friends can't connect with Ascent Database Editor to my server. The server is running on my computer and we are running hamachi, so I don't think forwarding ports would help, even though I forwarded anyway. They have no problems with joining my server, and I have no problems with connecting the server with ADE.
This has worked before, a long time ago when I was using mangos.

I type this when I connect:
    Localhost 3306
    username
    password

    world database

I guess my friends should type:
    MY HAMACHI IP 3306
    username
    password

    world

Even though it doesn't work, Please help me out!

    I WILL +REP

Make sure you have checked the enable remote access when configuring mysql..

"Step ONE ) Make sure you have "Remote Access" enabled. If you are not sure, open up Start > All Programs > MySQL > MySQL Server 5.0 (or whatever you have) > MySQL Server Instance Config Wizard. Open it up and choose "Reconfigure Instance" and then "Standard Configuration" fill in the security settings and check off "Enable root access from remote machines" and "Execute". Then you are good to go." from http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...-database.html .

I don't have that installed, because I use Johved's Repack, its just a control panel where you choose Run MySQL

I think you just need to add an account for him through a DB editor of your choice. If you're using HeidiSQL it's Tools > User-Manager > Add user. Fill in the required fields, use his hamachi ip as host. That should do the trick.

    Dynashock is right.
    Do exactly as he says.
Also remember that your friend needs to be a member of your hamachi network and he connects to your Hamachi IP when hes filling out the connection details.
If you run 2 or more realms make sure he connects to the right port.
    second realm should be port:
    3307

    3.d:
    3308

    etc....
